It is the need of every personality, more so of the great ones to have solid roots, that is, a solid foundation. There is no exception to this law of nature.

A really solid foundation requires a long period of time; you cannot have such a foundation by just taking wild leaps. R.D. Singh’s baptism to a great life started on a sad note -he lost his father at the age of five -an event that nonetheless made the two sufferers drew strength from each other - his mother and the little Randhir. Virtues of self righteousness, piety, compassion and inner strength were imbibed by the boy because of the great bond he shared with his mother.

The process of consolidation of these values continued during his schooling. Young Randhir graduated in the science of engineering with flying colors. He also won his first of the many certificates and letters of appreciation - Ram Kishore Merit Medal for securing highest aggregate in AMIE examination for UP state in the year 1983.

The process of achieving targets through hard work continued during his long innings with various government departments. He started as an Assistant Engineer in the Public Works Departments of UP, and during his fifteen years association with this department involved in the construction of roads, and of bridges winning letters of appreciation became a habit — he won them for the years 84-85, 85-86, 87-88, 90-91, 93-94, 94-95 and 97-98. He was promoted and asked to join the then newly developing town of Greater Noida as Senior Project Manager and provided expertise as an engineer for buildings, roads and urban water supply systems. His valuable insights as civil engineer for Gautam Buddh University has been well appreciated and widely acknowledged. He used his skills to the best when as Senior Manager-Rural Development with Greater Noida Authority he could help setup creches for children of migrant construction laborers and medical camps for the deprived and underserved. He was given the challenging arduous task of providing basic infrastructural facilities to the residents of villages around the newly developing townships.

He, through NGOs and corporate like Intel, helped develop computer education centres in rural schools. Bharti Adarsh Inter College, Tilapta, Ami Chand Inter College, Kasna, Nehru Smarak College, Bhanota, Gandhi Inter Collegel, Ghori Bachera and Jawahar Inter

College, Maycha-are few of the many which benefited from this passion of his to keep even students from rural schools abreast with the latest in information technology.

And, later his posting in the horticulture department helped the authorities visualize their dream of making Greater Noida the greenest of all new and upcoming towns. His talent was tested to full when he was asked to handle the prestigious project- the Taj Expressway— as Senior Manager Projects managing land acquisitions and project implementation-an enormous task that he accomplished to a perfect T.

Have not’s have benefited from his benevolent nature in the form of various self-employment training programs-weavers of Sant Kabir Nagar were trained in hand printing and embroidery work ..... one such program from a long list.

He brought his long experience, resourcefulness, and expertise in different fields together by initiating a new endeavor -a higher education institution in the fields of management, pharmacy and engineering-the Kailash Group of Institutions at Gorakhpur in Purvanchal.

He has been honored with the “Bhartiya Vikas Ratan Award”, India highest honor, from All India Business Development Association. The award was given to him for giving his prestigious contribution in social and infrastructural development activities.

He keeps it simple..... he makes it great..... Iife full of radiance, understanding, generosity, continuous giving and loving..... life which is light for others ..... Iife which illuminates..... life that reaches the apogee of enlightment through conscious effort.

It is essential, in professional life and in spiritual life, to deepen the quality of involvement, be it a big infrastructural project or a small camp to distribute free sewing machines -this is R.D. Singh for you..... man of genius, and of extraordinary depth.
